Congratulations to the following art students for having their work selected to hang in the 2017 Muskegon Museum of Art Expression Art Exhibit. All students, family, friends and faculty are invited to the opening reception is March 21 from 5:30-7:30.

February 6-28 at the Newaygo Arts Place in Fremont. Opening Reception is On Feb. 9th from 5-7 pm. The following students had there work selected to represent Fruitport High School. Login Morin "Peacock" Scratchboard, Hailey Tuttle " Perspective Portrait" Mixed media watercolor, Colin Huston " Still Life Drawing" in sketch n wash pencil, Summer Schultz " Glass Drawing" done with white conte crayon and Kortney Wahr's "Still Life Pencil " drawing.

2017 Scholsatic Visual Art Competiton
Congratulations to the following students for receiving an award in the prestigious 2017 Scholastic Art & Writing Competition. Their art was juried against over 1700 submissions from over 50 High Schools in the West Central Michigan Region. This year Fruitport High School Students have received one Gold Key Award in Ceramics, Two Silver Key awards and Honorable Mention in Drawing & Illustration division.

GO DONATE TO OUR ART PROGRAM! Earth, Wind & Fire! This art exhibit is a fundraiser for our program. Student created a work of art to be hung at the Nuveen Center for the Arts in Montague. A donation box is placed under the work, you can go there to donate money to help our the High School art program.. Let’s raise money for the arts! Stop by the art room and talk about this event.. 2017 Scholastic Art & Writing Competition
The 2017 Scholastic Art & Writing Competition is here! Last years competition in our region drew 1667 students work, over 93 schools and 155 educators. We have a history of producing Gold & Silver medal honors at this prestigious art competition producing some of the best drawing and painting in the state! Mrs. Jacobson will work after school with any talented young artist grade 9-12 whom wants to create a work for the Scholastic Arts Competition. Stop by the art room and discuss your ideas, dedicate the time to create something awesome. She will also be selecting students work also from the current semester. Deadline is December 9th 2016.
